Art Nouveau has always been inspired by natural forms like flowers and plants. Curved lines have always played a huge role in the applied and fine arts of the early 20th century style. But who cares about that, right? “Old” art is only cool once you modernize it with pop culture icons! Blending the old with the new, these pieces really give a classical feel to the characters we love.
Furthermore, Art Nouveau style illustrations are hugely popular in books for children. With so many surreal elements and bold colours, it is easy to see why this style of art is so widely used among illustrators. In fact, it would not be surprising if there were illustration jobs out there especially for illustrators that specialize in the Art Nouveau style.

Plus, thanks to tools like light boxes (for more information, see here), artists are able to work at whatever time they wish to, knowing that they will always have a good source of light to draw with. Both of these things are hugely convenient for aspiring artists. Transporting art materials to and from your place of work every day is not exactly ideal! Being able to do their art from home gives artists more ways of generating an income. Art can actually be rather lucrative, especially if people use Masterworks to purchase shares of valuable pieces of art.
