No one enjoys throwing away items that are still usable, but as a society of resource hogs, we have become immune to our waste. So I’m always encouraged when I see creative and simple upcycling projects that almost anyone can try to do. Of course, there are more complex ways to upcycle for people with some expert skills, such as welding. If that’s a skill that you have, there are a lot more things that you could upcycle into new furniture or decorations. When welding, make sure to wear a welding face shield to keep yourself safe. Before now, welders have been able to upcycle tables and gates into a range of different things, ensuring that nothing gets wasted. However, not everyone knows how to weld, so we have gathered a list of simple DIY projects for anyone to complete! These 11 upcycle ideas were picked by me because they are cool, and even better they are easy enough for any capable person to create. Plus, by reusing and upcycling, you’re also saving money too (and, let’s face it, we’re all looking to read more on how to save money around the home these days)! You may not need a quiver for kids or you may not want a planter made of boots, but you probably are interested in a suitcase as a medicine cabinet. Something for all tastes and interests, I hope. At the very least it will get you thinking about upcycling your belongings rather than tossing them in the trash. Long live Earth!
