Arguably the most widely respected and enjoyable comic strip in American history, Calvin and Hobbes has been able to reach audiences of all ages and walks of life. Bill Watterson’s mastery over balancing skewering existential topics with lightheartedness and the simple joy of using one’s imagination is highly captivating. It would be impossible to list all the best strips but there’s never a bad time for Calvin and Hobbes, nonetheless.
